Hey guys!! Currently chilling at the airport waiting to board my flight. So I decided to share some travel packing tips with you all. I am off to Asia (again -_-)! It is really like my second home. After travelling so much, I have learned to pack light and efficient.
#1 – Bring your favourite essentials
The most important thing to me are these ‘must-bring’ essentials! Are these your favs as well?
- Anna Sui mini stand mirror
- Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum
- Travel size Urban Decay Naked palette
- Physicians Formula brown/black eyeliner
- Lancome waterproof makeup remover
- Makeup Forever matte bronzer
- Sofina SPF
- Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair Serum
- O Hui Lipstick
#2 – Pack similar items in clear/light bags
I love to pack every thing into clear and light bags and putting similar contents together. I typically have one for skincare, one for lipsticks, one for face/eye makeup + brushes, 1 for medicine + first aid, and a mini one for on the go make up necessities.
#3 – Always bring back ups and extra battery
As a traveling blogger, camera, phone and a laptop are very important. I have a super type A personality so I really need to have my stuff organized and guaranteed backups. So I often carry extra memory cards, camera batteries, and phone batteries. Too bad they don’t have this option for Macbook Air. That little black gadget with the red strap is a luggage scale. So glad I bought it, its’s absolutely worth every dollar!
#4 – Use straws to avoid tangles
My sister taught me this tip recently. I always find myself tangling my necklaces and jewelry when I put them altogether into a bag. TIP: put your necklace through a straw to avoid tangles!! And straws are so light too, adds zero weight. I also decided to use one of those beaded keychains to keep my rings together. Try it!
#5 – Prepare luggage tags in advance
Finally, going with my personality, I like to have this prepared ahead of time. I would always pre-write my luggage tags ahead of time so I don’t have to scramble during check in. And aren’t these luggage tags totally awesome?!?! Picked them up last year at the market in Singapore (left) and Hong Kong (right). They are also great souvenir gifts.
#6 – In-Flight essentials
My final tip is to bring a moisturizing spray. I got the cute bunny one above at Tony Moly, have to keep my face hydrated during the long haul flight. A lip balm is also an essential, I got this Suisse Program one from SaSa last year and I am going back for more!!
